- Photos needed
- Two photos, one person in each (a single photo showing both people is not accepted for the neon dance looks). Uploads are JPG, PNG or WebP (iPhone HEIC photos are converted in the browser where it can read them; otherwise export as JPG) up to 10 MiB and at least 300 px on the short side
- Who can be in the photos
- Adults (18+) who agreed to appear. You confirm this when you upload; celebrities, public figures, K-pop idols and minors are not allowed. An automated check rejects clearly young children and public figures it recognises with high confidence; it is not an age verification and not perfect, so you are responsible for your photos
- Likeness
- Photos are loose references for the characters; appearance and movement can vary. The dancers are fictional characters
- Cost and render time
- One video per render. Packs: 1 for $9.90, 3 for $24.99, or 10 for $72.99. Seedance 2.0 follows the selected dance reference.
- Failed renders
- Video allowances are taken once a render request is accepted. If a render fails, or is still unfinished after 30 minutes, the video allowances are returned to your balance automatically
- Usage limits
- Up to 2 renders at the same time and 20 renders per rolling 24 hours per account; failed renders count toward the limit
- Photo storage
- Uploaded photos are scheduled for automatic deletion 30 days after upload; photos that fail the safety review are deleted within 7 days
- AI disclosure
- Videos are tagged as AI-generated in their file data. A20 AI adds no visible watermark, and platforms may not read the tag

Which photos work best?
One clear, well-lit adult per photo, facing the camera. Half-body or full-body photos give the AI more to work with than a tight face crop. Avoid sunglasses, heavy filters and group shots. The two photos do not need to be taken together.
Will the dancers look exactly like me?
No. Your photos are only loose references for the characters, such as hair, clothes and general look; appearance and movement can vary from photo to photo and run to run.
How long is the video, and what format is it?
The video is 15 seconds at 480p. Choose vertical 9:16 or landscape 16:9 before creating it.
Can I post my video on TikTok or Instagram?
You can share the videos you make. They carry an AI-generated tag in their file data (there is no visible watermark), and we ask you to keep an AI disclosure when you post, as platforms and some laws require. Platforms and rights holders may apply their own rules to dance and music content, so check them before posting.
What happens if a video fails?
Failed or timed-out renders, and videos that do not pass our automated safety review, are refunded automatically: the video allowances go back to your balance and you can try again.
Which photos are not allowed?
You must be 18 or older, own the photos or have the right to use them, and have the consent of everyone shown. Photos of celebrities, public figures or K-pop idols, photos of anyone under 18, photos of anyone who has not agreed, and NSFW images are not allowed. Do not mix people and pets in one video.
Do video allowances expire, and can I get a refund?
Video allowances never expire. Every purchase is a one-time payment: there is no subscription and no auto-renewal. See the refund policy for what is covered.
Are my photos kept private?
Your photos are used to render your videos and for an automated safety check. They are never published or sold, and uploaded photos are deleted automatically after 30 days. You can ask us to delete them sooner at any time.
